Monthly vaccination camps
Together with the Health Department of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), we run a free polio vaccination camp every month for children aged 0–5 in Kasarvadavali and surrounding areas.
Life-saving skills
We hold CPR sessions that teach how to help someone having a heart attack. A session on managing diabetes is planned.
Collective Qurbani
Every year we organise collective Qurbani for the Sunni community. It is done by, and under the supervision of, our own team. We take special care, especially for members who follow the Shafi’i school: permission is taken when the Qurbani amount is collected. Afterwards the share without meat is distributed among Muslims on the spot, and any surplus funds other good work.
Taraweeh for working people
During Ramadan, Madrasa Maktaba e Chishtiya holds the Isha prayer at 9:45 PM and Taraweeh at 10 PM, so people who get home late from work or business can still pray in congregation.
